The real life of a scooter girl
Picture this; after a great day on campus I retire to my sparkling blue 150 cc scooter. As I appoarch I become more and more anixious to ride it, so when I am at the last 20 feet away I sprint for my scooter. When I arrive I am out of breath, not because of my sprint, but the stunning beauty of my scooter. I carefully put in the key, hold down brake and start the engine, it lets out a sweet purr...... rum rum. I look in both of my mirrors and slowly back up out the "scooter parking" (yes there is a special parking for scooters, front row baby), I am ready for the best part of my day. I pull back on the gas and it climbs to 30 mph and I am on St. george blvd. With my head phones in and listening to scar tissue by red hot chili peppers. I envison myself in a action movie swicthing lanes with my blinker and stopping at red lights just so everyone can check out the merchandise (I am talking about my scooter duh!). My hair under my helmet is blowing in the wind and the sun is setting, everything is a dream. However the dream ends when I look down and I am almost on empty, so I pull into maverick and fill up my tank for 1.95. "Wow gas is expensive these days" I think to myself. Now that I had gas in my tank I was off once more to reach my home, which is about 5 miles from maverick. I ran it up to 55 mph and I was home safetly. With a smile on my face and a satisfied feeling inside I put down the kick stand and walked into my apartment.

Rebel Retreat!!
This weekend Dixie had their rebel retreat for the highschoolers who wanted to know how college life at Dixie really is. First, we met on friday night at four o clock and got to know everyone. Then, we went to the battle of the sexes, where everyone had to put their name in a different competion; I put my name in two competions the ice challenge and the ice block challege. All the competitions were a riot, both the boys and girls were screaming at the top of their lungs for their gender. I didnt get picked for the ice block so I assumed I was off the hook, but I was wrong. My name was called out of the ice cream eating competion and I had a terrible feeling in my stomache, however I took the challenge with another girl and stuffed my face with huge chucks of ice cream. We were doing really well, I thought, but as soon as I checked out the boys side they were gulping down the rest of the ice cream! we were defeated, and boy did i feel sick! After battle of the sexes we went to a bon fire in Arizona, it was the biggest bon fire i have ever seen and there was probably about a hundred people there. Everyone had a blast wacthing the sobe bottle bombs and socializing with the wide variety of people that were there. Finally, we went back to the Old gym and played a bunch of games such as: Basketball, volleyball, pingpong, air hockey, and rock band; we were also stocked with candy so everyone was a a sugar high till about 3 or 4 in the morning. When everyone woke up, we went over to the presentation room in the hazy building and talked about scholarships, admissions, social life, and acedemics here at dixie. All and all, the rebel retreat is one the high lights of the year.

A little home sick
Today I had a major realization, I missed my family! So, I decided that I was going to go up north to see them. However, there was some opsticals in my way;I had a paper due on tuesday, my survival skills class on wensday, and office hours for ambassadors in about 5 hours. I was second guessing if it was worth it, but when I heard my mom was comming up from mexico the same week there was no turning back. So, I talked to bradon about ambassdors, he was way understanding about it and told me that I would just make them up next week. Then I talked to my surival skills teacher and he sent me away with some research to work on while I was gone. Last of all I attached my paper to an email and sent it to my english teacher, and In about 4 hours I was hugging my sister and wrestling with my brother.
